DONOR EGG OPTION:
Egg Donation is also called Oocyte Donation or Ovum Donation. At Our center we cqn perform IVF Tretment using donor oocytes procurured from Registred Oocyte Banks who carefuly select the donoers after their through investigation. Egg Donation Programme is Anonymous that means you will never get to see the donor and neither the donor will know for whom her eggs were used.
Reasons for opting for Egg Donation:
Basically egg donation is a very attractive practical approach for women who either cannot produce their own eggs, for example women who have attained menopause including those with premature menopause or for example those whose ovaries have been removed surgically or those whose ovaries have been rendered defunct due to radiation or chemotherapy. It is also the treatment option for those women who cannot produce ‘ good quality’ oocytes ( eggs ) , for example, women with severe endometriosis, or those with severe polycystic ovaries . Thus, following are some of the reasons for selecting the option of egg donation:-
Why is egg donation advantageous to some situations?
Egg Donation is one of the option of building up your family when it is not possible to get you own eggs or your eggs are of poor quality, poor ovarian reserve or those with repeated IVF failures or those whose embryos are of poor quality or for various reasons mentioned in the previous module.
Although it is true that the baby will not have any genetic connection with the commissioning woman, many women are happy to choose this option because:
EMBRYO DONATION
Embryo Donation is one of the ways of Family Building for Infertile Couples
Here in we hatch embryos specifically created for THE infertile couple by using oocytes from egg donors and sperms from Sperm Donors
Embryo Donation is particularly useful for couples where both the female and male partner have severe deficiency in the gamete production
What is Vitrification process ?
Vitrification is the newest method of cryo-preservation that cause ultra-rapid freezing. Using cryo-protectants and cryo-coolants, the egg is cooled from a room temperature of 37 degrres to -196 degrees in a matter of few seconds-that is why it is called ‘ flash-freezing’- so that there is no time for intracellular ice formation. The structural integrity and fertilization potential of subsequently de-vitrified egg is same as that of the fresh egg.
